About Amaya

  • Commissioned for the decoration of Coleraine Family Health Clinic at the Western District Health Services of Victoria with 28 artworks in August 2023
  • Held a graphic art display at the 2023 Connecting Exo for people living with disabilities at Wulanda Recreational Centre in Mount Gambier in August 2023
  • She won 2nd prize for the NDIS Inclusive award at the Open Art Awards 2023 hosted by the SOUTHEAST ART SOCIETY at The Riddoch Art Gallery, Mount Gambier
  • She has a first solo exhibition at the Main Corner Art Complex in Mount Gambier SA and published her first-ever book AMAYA’S ANIMAL ALPHABET in April 2019
  • She won The Young Artist Award at The Open Art Awards 2019 organised by SouthEast Art Society
  • She participated in The South Australian Living Artist (SALA) Exhibition in Adelaide SA in 2018
  • Creation of Amaya’s blog https://amayasdrawings.com/ in November 2015. The blog represents a timeline of her growth as an artist from paper-based drawings to digital media
  • ABC Brisbane selected Amaya’s “Purple Elephant” for an animated doodle episode in August 2015
